But if you do something wrong then you can see change your rankings will be low on google and other search engines. That's why I am going to tell you some important steps to do in On-Page SEO.

On-Page SEO Checklist

There are many steps you need to do in on-page SEO but am going to tell you some important you must do on your web pages.

1. Page Content

The page content is one of the most important parts to rank your website. If your website does not have valuable information then users do not stay on your page and this will affect your web ranking.

You need to provide valuable information that is worth users' time and they will stay on your web page longer and also visit your other pages. And also your content tells both search engines and readers what your website and business are all about.

The right step to create high-quality content is choosing relevant keywords to your niche and write posts on that topic. You can use many tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, and other keyword research tools in which you can find the relevant keywords according to your niche.

You also need to use keywords perfectly then google will know what do you write on your page and where to rank your page. You also need to consider keyword density and check that you will not do keyword stuffing.

Not only that, but you also need to consider keyword density on your pages so you don’t stuff it with keywords and risk penalization. In fact, most SEO experts believe that an ideal keyword density is around 1-2%. This means the target keyword appears about one to two times per 100 words.

2. Meta Tags & Description

Meta tags and descriptions are more important than you thought. These are the ones that are gonna show on google. Add keywords in your title and description, You can write up to 70 characters in your title and you need to add characters in that.

A good title is not only a part of the On-Page SEO Page but also helps you to increase your CTR [Click through Rate]. CTR is one of the most important things and also helps you to increase your ranking. If your CTR is high then Google will suggest it to more audience and rank your pages.

And for meta description, you will get 150 characters to write down about your blog or what you want to show on google. Because just like Title it is also gonna rank on Google. Include tags and write down a perfect description that helps you to rank. You have 150 characters but I suggest you write down a proper description under 150 characters.

3. Permalink (URL Link)

Many new Bloggers do not know about this and they do not focus on this but your permalink is one of the factors of On-Page and to rank on Google.

Make sure to write a shorter URL because it is easy to share and more readable. You can write up to 75 characters but I will suggest you always write short URLs. But also include the main keyword.

4. Headings

Don’t forget - structure matters. Your header tags provide structure and context for your article. Make sure the information in your post is well structured, and be sure to use the appropriate headers tags to display a consistent information hierarchy- H1, H2, H3, H4, etc. Your title should always be your H1, the main descriptive title of the page with the primary keyword or phrase, followed by your H2, etc., with keyword variations. It’s best practice to only have one H1 on each of your pages to keep them specific about one topic.

5. Page Load Speed

Many new bloggers do not know how much load speed matters. Pages that load within one or two seconds have the advantage to outrank other pages that had taken more time to load. If our load speed is low then your bounce rate is also low. If your page loads in 2 seconds then your avg bounce will be around something 9% but if your page loads more than 4 or 5 seconds then your bounce rate will be increased which is not good.

6. Internal Links.

Internal Links is to links your other pages to your one page. After linking your page to other pages, google crawlers can easily find your website's pages. After doing this you can also increase your chances to rank your article on google's top pages and outrank your competitor. Also if you can then always add relevant internal links that will help you to boost your other pages' rankings.

Final Words

On-Page SEO is one of the main things learn while doing blogging. If you do not know how to do On-page SEO then it's too hard to rank your page. And if you do not know about ON-Page SEO then you can not be a professional blogger.
